Cozy Folk

Cozy Folk Review

The first cloth pad company I ordered from was Cozy Folk.  This cute little shop is on Etsy as well as the Cloth Pad Shop.  Jenn is a young entrepreneur who is passionate about the environment and creating reusable menstrual products.

Design

The pads I purchased were rounded, 100% cotton, with Windpro fleece backing.  The inner core is bamboo fleece.  Her patterns are very modern and stylish.  I was drawn to their professional look and cute fabric choices.  When I did some research for cloth pads, I had heard that Windpro fleece holds up quite well over time.

I really like the backing because it is quite thin and doesn't create additional bulk around your underwear.

Price

I purchased a set of 7 pantyliners, 3 10-inch heavy flow pads and 3 12-inch heavy flow pads.  Tip: Do not order this much from a seller that you haven't tried out.  Luckily, I really love her pads, but you should try various brands to see what shape, size and fabrics work best with you.  Oh well, live and learn! :)

Her prices are pretty average.  Normally, you will pay about $1.00 per inch of pad, so $12.00 for a 12-inch pad is about mid-range.

Comfort

When I first looked at starting to use resusable menstrual pads, I was worried that they would be uncomfortable and a big hassle.  I actually imagined something that would just soak through to my underwear and be pretty cold.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  These pads are very comfortable, soft, and protect my heavy flow easily.  I actually use the pantyliners throughout the month for normal discharge.

Overall, I would recommend buying these pads.  The pantyliners are super thin, but protect you and stay in place during light flow days, and the heavy flow pads provide excellent protection.  The heavy flow pads feel like a maxi pad, so if you like an ultra thin pad, you might just want to try the pantyliners for now.  However, I used them during the day and night and loved them.

Thanks for reading and feel free to post any questions you may have!

Welcome!

Welcome Ladies!

I created this blog in an attempt to encourage women to use reusable menstrual products.

Only recently I have started the switch from disposible menstrual products to reusable products.  My first goal is to try out various brands of cloth pads to see which work for me.

My second is to try out some menstrual cups eventually.  I have yet to do the necessary research to feel comfortable purchasing one yet.

I hope that you find my reviews and experience enjoyable.  I am not being sponsored by any of these companies.  These are my own opinions.
